Hi Fiona,

I like your blog. I think I will be creating blogs in "Emerging Environments for Learning" this semester. That is if I feel I can cope with two uni subjects as well as the Assignment for RPL in the Curriculum Integration Course.

I can see you will have to take FET5621 Introduction to Web Production. It is a great course and I learnt so much but very very very!!! time consuming. The skills I now have I wouldn't trade for anything. I would say it would be the only subject you could tackle for the semester.

You are doing great work. Your comments of Computer Literacy are very true.

Changing "camp" and going to secondary school I see ICT in a different light. I teach Cert II in Business and IT and Year 10 Business. The whole vocational aspect of ICT in education really has to be important. The Qld Government "earning and learning" program changes everything. I have students coming into and out of my classes to and from employment. Many are just sitting there not wanting to be at school. Filling in time doing nothing. The onus is on the school now to get them out of the classes and into the workforce.

It will be so interesting next year when the new laptop for teachers happens. I do hope that they spend a great deal of money in PD and also allow TIME for teachers to asorb. Professional development in this area is time consuming, rewarding and hard work.

I identified so much with your image posted in the discussion area. I know that I don't have a life anymore, I have a computer.

Great meeting you Fiona,
Jan Clewett
